My Name is Asim Hameedi and this is my volunteering experience at the Bowery Mission, NYC. Please visit my page below to learn about me.

Since 2012 I have been volunteering at the Free Clinic at The Bowery Mission (at 227 Bowery Street location) every Wednesday evening from 6pm -9pm. I work alongside with other volunteer physician assistants and nurse practitioners and I provide internal medicine and cardiology related consultation to the vulnerable population that either doesn’t have access to medical care or don’t want to go to the hospitals. I have been volunteering through the pandemic so vulnerable New Yorkers can receive the care they need. In return, this volunteer-ship has been one of the most satisfying experience of my life. The Bowery Mission has non-medical volunteer opportunities as well. You can visit The Bowery Mission at

I have volunteered at various other facilities during Covid19 in 2020–21. One of them was Jacob Javits Covid19 hospital along with US Army. I volunteered at Elmhurst Hospital in 2020 when New York had the Covid19 infection surge.
